Fitness Programs & Classes
The City of Ferguson Offers a variety of fitness programs for all. Here a list of our current programs, for more information on these or future programs please see our current brochure.
Note: Even if a fitness class has started, it may not be to late to get involved. We do occasionally pro-rate classes for late registrations if space is available, contact us today for more information.
All Fitness classes are held at BTC Center at 1050 Smith Ave.
Aerobics Classes
Low-Impact Aerobics: Our low-impact aerobics involve movements for large muscle groups in continuous rhythmic activity. One foot contacts the floor at all times! Class will be low key, but you will still be able to get your heart rate up. Become fit increase your step, flexibility, and muscle endurance at the same time.

High-Impact Aerobics: Our high-impact class involves exercises that get both feet off the ground, to really get your heart pumping. Classes are offered three days a week. You can try one, two, or all three of the classes.

Yoga & Tai Chi Classes
Imagine a workout that psyches you up without tiring you out! This compact, efficient, energizing, high power-but-low impact, all-natural nothing artificial program is for you. Yoga means union with yourself and has been practiced for thousands of years by millions of body types. Yoga will tone your body, build muscles, flexibility, and stamina. Special breathing and relaxation techniques will also be introduced for relieving stress and creating a sense of overall well being. This class is wonderful for those just beginning their practice or those who want to further explore yoga.

Tai Chi: The slow, dance-like speed of Tai Chi facilitates balance, flexibility and calmness, with an emphasis on deep breathing and mental imagery. Tai Chi benefits your mind and body by relieving stress, improving balance, and promoting an active lifestyle.

ZUMBA
Zumba is the new fitness program that is sweeping the nation. It fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness workout that will blow you away. We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba participants experience an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements.
