Architectural Review Board
Serves to maintain the architectural integrity of the community through reviews of building plans. Meets as-needed.
Board of Adjustment
Serves to hear, reverse or affirm appeals from property owners related to errors, variances, and exceptions to enforcement of the zoning and sign ordinance. Meets as-needed.
Ferguson Neighborhood Improvement Program (FNIP)
The Ferguson Neighborhood Improvement Program (FNIP) is a not-for-profit housing corporation operated by the City of Ferguson. An eleven-member Board of Directors appointed by the City Council establishes FNIP's policies and procedures. FNIP has been in operation since 1989, making it the oldest municipal housing corporation in St. Louis County. Meets on the fourth (4th) Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 110 Church Street.
Ferguson Special Business District (FSBD)
Serves to promote the central business district of Ferguson to the public. Meets on the third (3rd) Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. at Vincenzo’s Ristorante, 242 S. Florissant Road.
Housing Board of Appeals
Hears and rules on the appeals of property owners related to the enforcement of the City’s Exterior Appearance Code and Homestead Program. Meets as-needed.
IDA Board
Meets on project-specific, as needed basis.
Landmarks Commission
Advises the City Council and other boards and commissions on matters of historic significance. Meets on the first (1st) Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 110 Church Street.
Library Board
Determines the purpose of the Ferguson Municipal Public Library and adopts policies to oversee and review the administration of the library. Meets on the third (3rd) Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Ferguson Municipal Library, 35 N. Florissant Road.
Park Board
Serves to review and recommend rules, regulations, plans budgets, fees, and procedures related to the administration of the Parks and Recreation department. Meets on the third (3rd) Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the offices of Parks and Recreation, 501 N. Florissant Road.
Pension Board
Oversees the pension fund of the City, including the exclusive and final determination of claims, benefits, refunds, and other disputes which may occur. Meets on the fourth (4th) Monday of the first (1st) month of the calendar quarter at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 110 Church Street.
Personnel Board
Serves to investigate and advise the City Manager and City Council on matters related to personnel administration. Meets as-needed.
Planning Commission
Members assist the Council with long-range goals of the community related to a master plan, reviews and recommends zoning and/or zoning changes, and advises developers on projects appropriate to the master plan and zoning ordinance. Meets on the first (1st) and third (3rd) Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 110 Church Street.
Senior Citizen Commission
Serves to protect the needs of Ferguson’s senior citizens and to utilize their talents and abilities for the betterment of the community. Meets on the first (1st) Thursday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at City Hall, 110 Church Street.
TIF Commission
Gives notices, holds hearings, votes, and makes recommendations to the Council concerning any proposed designation of redevelopment areas and approval of redevelopment plans or projects which are submitted to the Council. Meets on project-specific, as-needed basis.
Traffic Commission
Acts in a general advisory capacity to the Council and City administration on traffic and parking issues. Meets on the third (3rd) Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 110 Church Street.
