The Public Works Department is responsible for the general maintenance and care of the City, with divisions including Code Enforcement and Municipal Services.
The Code Enforcement division conducts building inspections for both residential and business structures, reviews building plans, and is responsible for issuing and reviewing permits.
Municipal Services is responsible for upkeep of the City's streets, parks, and the Municipal Garage. Maintenance duties and care includes:
- City streets
- Buildings
- Grounds
- Lighting
- Parks
- Repairing City vehicles and equipment
- Right-of-ways
- Sidewalks
